This year’s competition features new categories and an upgraded scoring system with judges’ notes, along with other exciting new things.

The Rocky Top Game Con is East Tennessee’s biggest and best gaming convention, and it gets better every year.

Join us, May 24-26, for a fun, 3-day weekend of Tabletop Wargaming, RPG Adventures, Board Games, Video Games, Strategy Games, CCG’s, Cosplay, exhibits from Artists and Authors, and many more events!

The Rocky Top Game Con will also feature the latest and coolest gaming supplies and merchandise from the region’s most loved gaming and hobby vendors.

The Rocky Top Game Con Miniature Painting Competition is focused on helping inspire local artists to get involved in their community. We want to provide an educational event where artists can learn how to improve their work and exchange ideas with like-minded individuals.

My name is Peter, and I love painting miniatures.

I discovered the miniature painting hobby almost 10 years ago and instantly fell in love. I always wanted an art-related hobby but never found my medium.

Painting miniatures also encouraged an outlet for project management and brought forth conceptual skills and designs to fruition.

Here are some accomplishments that are merely milestones in my journey of this amazing hobby. I treasure these achievements because of the experiences shared with friends along the way, and what I look forward to most is the friendships that will form in the future.

  • Armies on Parade Silver Winner. 2016 Warhammer Turkey Creek.
  • Painting Competition Judge for Rocky Top Game Con since its inception in 2021.
