About Kathryn D
Hi, I’m Mythic Mini’s Photographer, Kathryn, and I have loved photography since I was a kid!
I remember skipping around the house and filling my parents’ old Motorola flip-phones with sepia-filtered images.
Despite upgrading my equipment and moving into more professional shoots,
I still run for my camera to capture such things such as light flecks glittering through a spiderweb, a beautiful assortment of clouds, or my smiling dog sprinting toward me.
When I investigate the seemingly mundane, I am graced with illuminated intricacies in the small details.
I think it is important to capture this beauty, and this is my passion, my art.
In early 2024, I was invited to capture submissions of the Miniature Painting Competition at Rocky Top Game Con.
This opportunity took me outside the scopeof my usual prom, graduation, or “just because” photo shoots.
This enjoyable experience really took me out of my routine of photographing people or landscapes. It reminded me just how big something so small can really be.
